The Greener consumer has been recognised by Vauxhall for some time. In 1997 Vauxhall were the first UK manufacturer to offer Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) "Factory-fit" LPG systems. During the production period from '97 to '06 over 15 000 vehicles of various models were sold. Unfortunately the "economies of scale" have discouraged continued development of Vauxhall OEM systems, GM in Europe offer an extensive range of off-the-shelf gas vehicles, Opel offer 3 models, Chevrolet the entire car range, Saab provide the 9-3 & 9-5 including convertibles. We are one of only a few installers that are a part of the current Vauxhall retro-fit programme. This means that we can fit the approved Vauxhall-Necam conversion system, with vehicle specific components and wiring looms. These are limited to the 1.2 Twin port, 1.4 Ecotec, 1.6 Ecotec and 1.8 Ecotec petrol engines.

We can however retro-fit a generic BRC LPG system to virtually all of the Vauxhall petrol models - not Direct injection models. As is the case with the other manufacturers (except the Ford Transit), we fabricate brackets and amend the digital calibration accordingly. The performance and emission results of these BRC systems are comparable with the OEM product.

Vauxhall Corsa and Corsavan are incredibly cost effective with our LPG conversions. Imagine nearly forty miles per gallon at half the price of diesel. That's like achieving 80 mpg from a diesel.

Arun Autogas, have been carrying out LPG conversions on vans since 1998. An LPG conversion enables petrol vehicles to run on either LPG or Petrol controlled by the driver from inside the vehicle whilst realising cost savings of up to 35% over a diesel engine.

Our BRC sequential gas injection system allows the vehicle to run on either petrol or LPG. It will save in excess of 27% over it diesel sisters. This on fuel savings alone. 

The comparison is 10 p per mile (ppm) from a diesel and 7 ppm from the LPG conversion. When taking fuel from a forecourt, with diesel at £1.20/l and Autogas at £0.54/l . 

When using bunkered LPG at around £0.44 the cost is 5.9 ppm and a 40% saving can be expected. Also people don't pilfer LPG.

The Vauxhall Zafira is one of the largest people carriers to be exempt from the London Congestion Charge. Smaller suitable vehicles for LPG conversion include Vectra, Astra ( Astravan), Corsa (Corsavan), and Combo.

The Vauxhall Monaro on the other hand is one of the fastest vehicles to have on LPG. We have rolling road results that demonstrate the effectiveness of "top-notch" installation. On our standard LPG calibration set-up the Monaro dropped only 10hp at the wheels. This performance can be enhanced, even improved over the petrol, when calibrated with our Rolling Road Package.
